LG Aristo 4 is a successor to Aristo 3 Plus. It’s the latest Aristo series, model. Apart from the display size (5 inches vs 5.45 inches) and aspect ratio (16:9 vs 18:9), there is hardly any difference between the 2.
LG Aristo 4 Plus still uses the older micro USB charging port & there is no fast charging support. USB C offers a symmetrical connector that can be plugged in any direction. With Quick Charge, you need to charge your phone less frequently.
With these features missing, wireless charging can be a savior. It offers a hassle-free charging. Just place your Aristo 4 on the charging pad whenever it’s low on battery. Once you get used to Qi charging it becomes difficult to manage without it.
So, Let’s find out whether the Aristo 4 is Qi-enabled or not.
Does LG Aristo 4 Plus have Wireless Charging?
The latest MetroPCS prepaid smartphones are LG Stylo 6 & K51. They are priced much higher than Aristo 4 Plus. Both of them lack wireless charging. If a high-end phone like Stylo 6 comes without Qi charging we cannot expect Aristo 4 to have this feature.
Wireless Charging is found in LG G & V Series Android smartphones.
The good part is we can quite easily enable wireless charging on Aristo 4 Plus. Let’s see how to do this –
First of all, we need a wireless charger receiver for Aristo 4 Plus.
You can check out how does it look like in the above image.
The one that we need for Aristo 4 Plus is Micro USB Type-A wireless charger receiver.
The receiver pin goes into the charging port of Aristo 4 Plus. The flap will rest at the back of the phone.
I’ve inserted the receiver pin into the phone’s charging port.
We can keep the flap in place using a thin case. A case will affect the charging speed.
You can also stick the flap at the back. Nillkin receiver comes with a sticker for the same purpose.
Now our phone is ready for wireless charging. We just need a charging pad to place the phone for charging.
The above image shows the charging pad. It’s a cheap wireless charger. I bought it for testing purposes.
The pad comes with a Micro USB port. We have to power the charging pad via an AC Adapter.
You can check the wireless charging pad specs in the above picture.
The orange light indicates the pad is getting power. We can now place our phone for charging.
Check out the above image. My Aristo 4 Plus is charging wirelessly.
You can check out the lock screen in the above image. It says Charging (16 min until full).
This is the back of the phone while charging. The charging pad light changes from orange to blue when the phone is getting charged.
The wireless charging equipment I used is not suitable for real-world usage. I experienced a slow charging speed and a hissing noise while charging.
If you really wish to charge your Aristo 4 Plus wirelessly, you should spend a little more. I’ve shortlisted the best wireless receiver and charging pads for Aristo 4. You cannot go wrong with any of them for daily usage.
