Moto G Play 2021 FRP Bypass Google Account without PC XT-2093

Moto G Play 2021 comes with Android 10 out of the box.

There are multiple versions of Motorola G Play based on different carriers such as MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, Cricket, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Factory Unlocked, etc.

On Moto G Play, when you hard reset the phone via recovery mode, you need to verify the device ownership by signing in with the previously synced Google account.

In this post, we are going to learn how to bypass the google account/FRP lock on Moto G Play without a computer. In 5 minutes you’ll be able to use your phone once again.

So, let’s proceed with the troubleshooting –

I was locked out on my Moto G Play. I forgot the lock screen password. I had to reset my phone via the Recovery Mode.

After the factory reset, we are on the “Hi There” screen.

Tap the “START” button to move ahead.

 

In the next step, we need to connect our phone to the internet using Wifi or Mobile data.

Now, it’s checking for updates. This will take a while.

Let’s tap “Don’t copy” to proceed further.

This time we are on the lock screen password verification page. I don’t remember the password.

The alternate option is – “Use my Google account instead”. Let’s choose this option.

This brings us to the Google Verification page. It’s asking to verify with the last synced Google account on this device.

First of all, go back to the “Hi there” page using the back button as shown above.

 

We are once again on the first page of the setup wizard.

Hit the “Emergency Call” button to launch the phone dialer.

Now, tap “EMERGENCY INFORMATION” twice to open this page.

 

On the “Emergency information” page, tap the “Edit icon” at the top-right corner.

Select the first option on this page – “Name”.

A “Name” pop-up appears on the screen. Hit the “Profile icon” as shown above.

 

A dropdown appears with 2 new options – “Take a photo” & “Choose an image”.

Select “Choose an image” to proceed further.

This brings us to the “Recent” page of the file manager app.

Tap the “3 bar icon” at the top-left and long-press the “Drive” option.

 

Long-Press “Drive” to reach the “App Info” page.

Now, tap the 2nd option on this page – “Permissions”.

On the App permissions page, hit the search bar on the top-right and type settings

 

Now, scroll down and select the “Settings App Info” option with a blue circular icon as shown above.

This will bring us to the App Info page of the Settings app.

Hit “Open” to reach the Settings page.

 

Scroll down and select “Security” as shown above.

 

Tap the last option on the security page i.e. – “Screen pinning”.

Turn on Screen Pinning using the toggle switch.

 

Now, enable “Lock device when unpinning”.

NOTE: If you’re unable to turn on the “Lock device when unpinning” option, your phone is running on Android 11. You need to use the alternate method to bypass the FRP lock –

This brings us to the “Choose Screen Lock” page.

We are going to use this page to set up a new screen lock.

Let’s add an easy-to-remember PIN. Choose the option “Fingerprint + PIN”.

I’ve added 1234 as the Screen PIN. We have successfully change the screen lock.

Now, let’s go back and use this new PIN to bypass the Google account.

 

Use the back button to reach the “Hi There” screen.

 

 

We are once again on the first page of the setup wizard.

Hit the “START” button to move ahead.

 

Choose “Don’t copy” when on the “Copy apps & data” page.

We are once again on the Screen lock verification page.

Verify with the PIN we added in the last step i.e. 1234

The PIN verification was successful. We get a skip option on the Google account setup page.

At this stage, you can also add a Google account. The previously synced account is not required anymore.

Hit the “Skip” button to move ahead.

 

Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.

It’s asking for the PIN one more time. Enter the same PIN 1234

Now, skip the Fingerprint setup. We can do it later.

 

Hit “OK” on the next page.

Click “Accept and continue” on the Motorola Privacy Policy Page.

 

Tick “I agree” and hit “Next” on the following page.

 

Accept the carrier access location request in the next step.

 

Click “Get started” on the gesture navigation page.

 

Keep hitting next to proceed further.

 

 

Finally, we need to use the swipe-up gesture to reach the Moto G Play home screen. Follow the arrow as marked in the above screenshot.

 

We have landed on the Moto G Play home screen thus bypassing the Google account.
