The order of the troubleshooting on your Aristo 3 & Aristo 3 Plus should be Soft Reset, Safe Mode, Factory Data Reset, Hard Reset via Recovery Mode & Firmware Flashing via Download Mode.
In this post, we are going to check out the different ways to reset an LG Aristo 3 / Aristo 3 Plus. Your internal storage data is not affected by doing a Soft Reset & Network Settings Reset. However, a Factory & Hard Reset would wipe your internal storage space.
Let’s check out how to make the most of this reset function on Aristo 3 & Aristo 3 Plus as follows –
1. LG Aristo 3 Soft Reset / Force Restart
A Soft reset is the most basic step of troubleshooting. It resolves most of the common problems.
First Method
A soft reset is nothing but a normal reboot. If your Aristo 3 is frozen or acting abnormally due to app crash or some other reason, soft reset should be the first remedy.
On your Aristo 3, long-press the power button and select “Power off and restart” to reboot your phone.
Second Method
In case your Aristo 3 is frozen, we need to force restart the phone.
Remove your Aristo 3 battery door & battery as per the above screenshots.
Removing the battery will power off your phone.
Now reinsert the battery and replace the battery door.
Boot your phone once again using the power button.
2. LG Aristo 3 Factory Data Reset using Phone Settings
If the soft reset fails to resolve your issue, you should try the LG Aristo 3 Safe Mode.
If the issue persists, then follow the below step to factory reset your phone.
Before doing the factory reset, make sure you have backed up your data stored in the internal storage space.
On your aristo 3 home screen, pull down the notification bar and tap the “Settings” icon.
Select the General tab, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Select “System” and then “Reset” as shown above.
On the next page, select “Factory Data Reset”.
Hit “RESET PHONE” located at the bottom right corner on the “Factory Data Reset” page.
Now tap “Delete All”. Finally, tap “RESET” to confirm your action. This step will initiate the factory reset process.
After the reset, the phone reboots and takes us to the Welcome screen of the setup wizard.
Tap the “Forward Arrow” to move ahead.
SKIP the “Insert SIM Card” step.
On the Connect to Wifi page, you can either connect to your home wifi network or “SKIP” this step as shown above.
Tap “NEXT” on the “Date & Time” page. It’ll be automatically updated after connecting to the internet.
Enter your name in the “Name” field or hit “NEXT”.
Now it’s asking to set up a screen lock.
We can skip this step as of now by tapping “Not Now”.
Accept Google services terms and conditions by tapping “More” < “More” < “Accept”.
On the “Legal Documents” page, tick the checkbox which says “I agree” & hit “DONE” to land on the Aristo 3 Home Screen.
We have completed the factory data reset on LG Aristo 3.
3. LG Aristo 3 Hard Reset via Recovery Mode
In case you are locked out on your Aristo 3 / Aristo 3 Plus due to a forgotten PIN, Pattern or Password, then the only resort is to perform a Hard Reset via Recovery Mode.
To boot your Aristo 3 into the Recovery Mode –
- Power Off your phone
- Press the Volume Down & Power Key to boot your phone
- As soon as the phone vibrates (or when the LG logo appears on the screen), release the power button and hold it once again.
- In the whole process, never leave the Volume down key.
- Your Aristo 3 must be now on the white “Factory data reset” screen which is nothing but the Recovery Mode.
NOTE: While doing hard reset using hard keys you need to verify your last synced google account. If you don’t remember your Google account details, you need to Bypass Google Verification / FRP on your LG Aristo 3.
In the Recovery Mode, there are 2 options “No (Exit)” and “Yes”.
We have to move down to “Yes” using the Volume down button and select this option using Power Button.
There is a 2 step confirmation.
Again move down to “Yes” using the volume key and press the power button to confirm the selection.
I’ve made a video on this as well. You can refer to the below video.
4. LG Aristo 3 Network Settings Reset
The last form of reset on the LG Aristo 3 / Aristo 3 Plus is the Network Settings reset. This helps in troubleshooting network-related issues including Bluetooth and Wifi problems.
Your internal storage data remains intact after doing a network settings reset.
Pull down the notification bar on your Aristo 3, and tap the Settings icon.
Select the “General” tab, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Now hit “System” and then “Reset”.
On the “Reset” page, select the first option i.e “Network settings reset”.
Tap “RESET SETTINGS” located at the bottom-right corner.
Finally, hit “Reset Settings” to do the needful.
The confirmation message appears at the bottom of the page which says “Network settings have been reset”.
