How to bypass Screen lock on Moto G Power XT-2041
I’m locked out on my Moto G Power. I don’t remember the screen lock password.
We cannot bypass the lock screen without doing a reset on the Moto G Power.
To reset the phone we need to put it into Recovery Mode.
To boot your Moto G Power into Recovery Mode, you need to press the volume up + power button as shown above.
Power off your phone using the power button on the right.
When the phone is off, press & hold the volume down + power button.
This takes you to the black screen with an Android logo & a “START” option.
Use the volume rocker to move up/down until you see the “RECOVERY MODE” option on the screen.
When “RECOVERY MODE” shows up, hit the Power button to select it.
This brings us to the “No command” page.
Now, press & hold the power button. Keep holding the power key & hit the volume up key once.
Release both the keys as soon as the “Android Recovery” page shows up.
In the recovery mode, we need to use the volume rocker & the power button.
Use the volume down key to move down from “Reboot system now” to “Wipe data/factory reset”. Now, press the power key once to select this option.
Once again move down from “Cancel” to “Factory data reset” using the volume down key and hit the power button.
This will erase the phone data and restore the phone to factory default settings.
Now, hit the power button to Reboot your Moto G Power.
After the reset, we have landed on the first screen of the Setup Wizard.
Hit the “START” tab to proceed further.
To move ahead, we need to connect to the internet via Wifi or Mobile data.
Now, it’s checking for updates. We need to wait for a while.
Select “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” page.
This brings us to the password verification page. As I don’t remember the lock screen password, I’ll choose the second option – “Use my Google Account instead”.
We need to verify with the previously synced Google account on this device. Sign in with your last-synced Google account and finish the setup wizard to reach the Moto G Power home screen.
If you don’t remember the Google account credentials, then follow the below hack to bypass the Google account on Moto G Power –
