It’s a good practice to note down the lock screen credentials, in case you forget it later. Especially when adding a new password, pin, or pattern that was never used before.
Are you locked out on your Phoenix 5 due to a forgotten PIN, pattern, or password? Don’t worry you’re at the right place. In a few minutes, you’ll be able to use your phone once again.
First of all, let’s try to bypass the lock screen without doing a reset.
How to bypass Screen lock on LG Phoenix 5
I’ve forgotten the lock screen password on my LG Phoenix 5.
After 5 failed attempts, there is a waiting period of 30 seconds.
I’m hoping to get a recovery option in the form of “Forgot password” or “Google account sign in”.
Even after 50 failed attempts only the wait time increased.
One thing is clear, we cannot restore our Phoenix 5 without doing a hard reset.
To perform a hard reset, we need to power off the phone and boot into Recovery Mode.
It’s not letting me even power off the phone without unlocking the screen.
It’s not allowing to even restart the phone.
Now, the only option left is to Force restart the Phoenix 5 using volume down and power button.
Press and hold the volume down and power button until the phone restarts.
During the restart, when LG Phoenix 5 appears on the screen, release the power button and hold it again.
Don’t leave the volume down key during the whole process.
Your Phoenix 5 must be now in recovery mode.
It’s used to factory reset the phone when locked out.
We need to use the volume rocker and power button in the recovery mode.
Move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume down key and press the Power button to select “Yes”.
Repeat the above steps. Again move down from No(Exit) to Yes and hit the Power button.
The phone is being erased now. We need to wait for a few minutes.
We have reached the “Welcome” page of the setup wizard.
Use the forward button to move ahead.
Hit “Next” on the “New second screen” page.
Now, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Mobile data.
It’s checking for updates, we need to wait for a while.
Select “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps and data” page.
We are once again on the screen lock verification page. This time we get an alternate option “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”. Select this option to move ahead.
This brings us to the Google verification page. It’s asking to sign-in with the last synced Google account on this device.
If you remember the Google account credentials, sign-in to your account and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard.
