There are 2 kinds of screen mirroring, wired and wireless. Wired mirroring doesn’t require Wifi internet. It uses an HDMI / Slimport/ MHL adapter to mirror the phone screen on the TV. Wired screen mirroring offers a more stable connection with less lag. Only a few high-end devices offer HDMI Alt Mode/MHL support nowadays.
On the other hand, the Wireless screen mirroring works over a Wifi connection. It is getting more popular these days. The TV should be Miracast enabled for Screen Mirroring. We can plug in a Miracast device to the TV such as Chromecast, Firestick, Roku, etc.
For Screen Mirroring, the phone should also offer Miracast support. Let’s find out if can mirror the LG Journey lte screen to the TV –
Does LG Journey have Screen Mirroring?
The Miracast option on the phone is found by the name of Cast, Screen Sharing, Smart View, etc.
Let’s search for it on the LG Journey Settings app. Open the app drawer and select “Settings”.
I searched for the terms Cast, Screen Casting, Screen mirroring, Smart view, Screen Sharing, but the output was “No results found”.
I searched for the Casting/Mirroring options everywhere on the phone, but couldn’t find it anywhere.
So, what option do we have now? Without the Screen Sharing option on LG Journey, we can do the screen mirroring only via Chromecast. It works over the Google Home app.
Let’s see how to do this –

If that’s the case, you need to download a “Cast to TV” app from Play Store for Screencasting. Let’s see how to do that –
