Are you locked out on your LG G7 Thinq due to a forgotten PIN, Pattern, Password, or Knock code? Don’t worry you’re not alone. We tend to forget lock screen credentials especially if it’s a difficult one.
To bypass the G7 Thinq lock screen, we need to hard reset the phone using volume down & power keys via the recovery mode. You cannot reach the home screen without a reset when locked out.
After the reset, you also need to verify with the previously synced Google account to complete the device setup.
In this post, we are going to bypass the G7 Thinq lock screen as well as the Google verification screen as follows –
How to unlock LG G7 Thinq without Password, PIN, Pattern, Knock Code, lock code lm-q710
You can see I’m stuck on the LG G7 Thinq home screen due to the forgotten password.
We need to enter the recovery mode to hard reset our phone.
To enter recovery mode, I tried to turn off the phone but couldn’t do so. It shows an error – “Unlock the phone to power off”.
So, now we are going to restart our G7. During the restart, we need to press and hold the volume down + power button to access recovery mode.
Long-press the power button and select “Restart” as shown above.
Now, immediately press & hold the volume down + power keys.
During the restart, when the “LG G7 Thinq” logo appears, release only the power button and hold it again. Do not leave the volume down key.
Now, keep pressing both the keys to enter Recovery Mode.
We are now in Recovery Mode.
Use the volume rocker and power buttons for navigation.
Move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume key. Now, press the power button once.
Again move down from “No” to “Yes” with the volume key and hit the power key to reset your device.
After a few minutes, it brings me to the “Welcome” screen.
Click the forward arrow to proceed.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, connect your device to a Wifi network.
After connecting to the internet, it’s checking for updates.
It takes a few minutes time & then we reach the “Copy apps & data” screen. Click “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
Now, I’ve reached the screen lock verification page. I don’t remember the lock screen password. There is an alternate option as well. Let’ click on it.
It now brings me to the “Verify your account” screen. This is the Google account verification page. We need to sign in to the previously synced Google account to get past this screen.
Enter your Google account credentials and follow the on-screen prompts to reach the LG G7 home screen.
If you don’t remember your last synced Google account then follow the below hack to bypass the FRP lock –

To bypass the Google lock we need to pull out the keyboard. Click the blank space – “Email or phone” to pull out the keyboard.
Now, tap the small keyboard icon as marked in the above screenshot.
This brings out a “Default keyboard” window from the bottom. Select “Settings” to proceed further.
The next screen is “Manage Keyboards”. Click the first keyboard – “Gboard”.
Now, tap the “3 dots icon” and choose “Help & feedback”.
This will bring you to the “Support” page.
Touch the first option – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the following screen click on the link – “Tap to go to application settings”. You can refer to the above screenshot.
We are now on the App Info screen.
Scroll down and choose “Settings” to reach its “App info” page.
Now, hit “Open” to enter the Settings app.
In Settings, tap “Fingerprints” and then “Next”.
It’ll bring you to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We are going to use this page to replace the old lock screen password with a new Pattern, PIN, or Password.
Let’s set up an easy PIN code such as 1234
Re-enter the PIN code and hit “OK”.
We have successfully changed the screen lock.
Now, let’s go back and use this new PIN code to bypass the FRP lock.
Keep going back to reach the “Welcome” screen.
Hit the “Forward button” on the “Welcome” page and tap “Next” on the New Second Screen page.
Now, choose “Don’t copy” when you reach the “Copy apps & data” screen.
It directly brought me to the “Verify your account” screen & skipped the screen lock verification page. We need the “Verify PIN” option to bypass the Google account.
To get back that screen, we are going to hard reset the phone one more time via Recovery mode.
Turn off your LG G7 Thinq using the power button as shown above.
Now, press the volume down + power button to turn on your phone.
As soon as the LG G7 Thinq logo shows up, only release the power key for a moment and hold it again. Do not release the volume button.
Keep pressing both the keys to enter recovery mode.
Go down from “No” to “Yes” with the volume key. Now press the power button to select Yes.
Again move down from No to Yes and reset the device with the power button.
Once again we are on the “Welcome” page.
Hit the forward button to proceed.
Click “Next” on the “New Second Screen”.
Now, connect your phone to a Wifi network.
Touch “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” page.
This time it brought me to the “Verify PIN” screen.
Verify with the PIN code we set earlier i.e. 1234
The PIN verification is successful.
Use the “Skip” option to bypass the Google account sign-in.
Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.
Finally, tick the “I agree” checkboxes on the “Legal Documents” screen to reach the LG G7 Thinq home screen.
We have successfully landed on the LG G7 home screen thus bypassing the Google lock.
