LG G6 was launched in 2017 with Android 7 Nougat. Now, it’s updated to Android 9 Pie. After the new update, the old FRP bypass method doesn’t work anymore.
There are 6 different versions of LG G6 in the USA – G6 T-Mobile H872, AT&T H871, Sprint LS993, Verizon VS988, US Cellular US997 & the Factory Unlocked variant.
In this post, we are going to use the latest 2022 hack to get past the Google lock on LG G6 without a computer. In a few minutes, you’ll be able to use your phone once again.
So, let’s begin the troubleshooting –
After doing a hard reset on my LG G6 using the volume down + power button, I reached the “Welcome” screen as shown above.
Let’s click the forward button to begin the device setup.
In the next step, we need to connect our G6 to a Wi-fi network.
Now, it’s connected to the internet & is checking for updates.
After a while, I reached the “Copy apps & data” screen. Let’s tap “DON’T COPY” to move ahead.
It brought me to the screen lock verification page. We have 2 options – “Verify PIN” & “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
Let’s pick the 2nd option to proceed further.
This time we are on the Google verification screen. It’s asking to verify with the previously synced Google account on this device.
Let’s use the latest 2022 hack to bypass the Google lock on LG G6 without a computer as follows –
How to bypass FRP lock – Google Account on LG G6 Android 8 & 9 2021 2022 without PC H872 H871 LS993 VS988 US997
To bypass the Google lock we need a locked SIM card. You can lock any SIM card.
I’ve picked LG Aristo 2 and MetroPCS SIM for this task. If you’re doing this on an LG phone –
Open the Settings app and Go to “Lock Screen & Security”.
Now, click on “Set up SIM card lock” and enable the “Lock SIM Card” option.
We have to enter the current SIM PIN. The default PIN for MetroPCS SIM is 1234
The default SIM PIN varies from carrier to carrier you can search it in Google.
The SIM card lock is enabled. Now, we are going to insert this SIM in LG G6.
Remove the LG G6 SIM tray using a SIM ejector tool and place the locked SIM card.
Look at your G6 screen. It’s asking for the SIM PIN code.
Verify with the code 1234
Now, to unlock the screen, swipe down starting from the “Not signed in” notification towards the bottom of the screen.
You can refer to the above screenshot.
This will bring a few quick access icons to the top. Long-press the Bluetooth icon as shown above.
Turn on Bluetooth and get a Bluetooth Headset/Earbud.
My Earbud is “PTron BassBuds Urban”.
Pair your LG G6 with the Bluetooth Headset/Earbud.
If you don’t have a Bluetooth headset or Earbud, you can follow the alternate FRP Bypass Method –
Now, press the Bluetooth button/touch area of the earbud for 2 seconds and release it.
This will launch Google Assistant on your LG G6. Now, tap the Mic icon and send a voice command.
Say the term email in the phone’s microphone.
A “G Search” option appears at the bottom-right corner. Click on it.
Erase the term email from the Google search bar.
Enter the term email once again in the search bar.
Pick the “Email app” from the search result dropdown as shown above.
This will bring you to the “Select Email Provider” page.
Choose the first option – “Microsoft Exchange”.
On the Microsoft exchange page, enter any Email id in the “EMAIL ADDRESS” field.
Now, select the “MANUAL SETUP” option.
This will bring you to the “Server Settings” screen. Scroll down and choose the last option to “Add” a Client Certificate.
An “Attention” pop-up appears on the screen. Hit “CHANGE” to accept the request.
This will bring you to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We are going to use this screen to add a new Pattern, PIN, or Password.
Choose “No, thanks” on the “Secure Startup” screen and click “NEXT”.
Now, draw an easy-to-remember pattern such as L
Redraw the Pattern and click “CONFIRM”.
The screen lock has been changed. We have successfully replaced the old PIN lock with this new Pattern lock.
Now, let’s go back and use this new Pattern to bypass the Google account verification.
Use the back button to reach the first page.
On the “Welcome” screen tap the forward arrow.
Hit “DON’T COPY” on the “Copy apps & data” screen.
Instead of the Pattern verification page, it directly brought me to the “Verify your Account” screen. We need the “Draw Your Pattern” page to bypass the Google account.
To restore that page, we are going to hard reset the phone via Recovery Mode.
Turn off your LG G6 to enter recovery mode.
Long-press the power button at the back and choose “Power off” as shown above.
Once the phone is off, press the volume down + power button to boot the phone.
As soon as the “LG logo” appears, release only the power button for a moment and hold it again. Do not leave the volume down key during the whole process.
Keep pressing both the buttons until your reach the “Factory Data Reset” screen.
We are now in recovery mode.
Go down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume button. Now, tap the power key once.
Again click the volume down key to move down from “No” to “Yes”. Hit the power key once to reset your device.
After the reset, it brings me to the “Enter PIN code” screen. Unlock the screen with the code 1234
Hit the forward button on the Welcome screen.
Touch “DON’T COPY” on the “Copy apps & data” page.
This time we get the “Draw your Pattern” screen.
Draw the pattern we set a few steps ago i.e. L
The Pattern verification is successful.
Use the “Skip” option to bypass the Google sign-in page.
The next page is “Google Services”. Hit “MORE” to proceed.
Accept Google services terms and conditions.
Finally, we have landed on the last screen of the setup wizard – the “Legal Documents” screen.
Tick the “I agree” checkboxes and hit “DONE” to complete the setup wizard.
We have successfully landed on the LG G6 home screen thus bypassing the Google lock.
