Majority of the android users secure their phones by adding some kind of screen lock. The secondary lock can be in the form of a Fingerprint or face lock, but the primary lock has to be a PIN, pattern, or password.
You can recover your phone if you fail to unlock the screen with face unlock or fingerprint but it’s not possible to bypass the primary lock (PIN, Pattern, or password), without doing a reset. This way you lose your precious internal storage data.
So, it’s better to keep a note of the screen lock credentials during setup.
However, if you’re already locked out, then we need to look for a way out to bypass the lock screen. Let’s find out how to bypass the screen lock on LG Fortune 3 lmk300am –
You can see I’m locked out on my LG Fortune 3.
I don’t remember the lock screen password.
I kept on trying and after 5 failed attempts there was a wait time of 30 seconds.
Even after 50 failed attempts, I didn’t any account recovery option in the form of “Forgot password” or “Google Account”.
So, it’s clear we need to hard reset the phone to bypass the lock screen.
To reset the phone, we need to put our phone into recovery mode.
Let’s power off the phone and boot it into recovery mode.
It says “Unlock the phone to power off”. Let’s try to restart the phone.
The same error shows up while restarting the phone.
So, the only option left is to force restart the phone.
Press and hold the power and volume down keys until the phone restarts.
During the restart, when LG Fortune 3 shows up on the screen, release the power button and hold it again. Do not release the volume down key.
Keep holding both the keys until you reach the “Factory data reset” screen.
We are now in Recovery Mode. In this mode, touch doesn’t work.
We need to use the volume rocker and power buttons.
Use the volume down key to move from “No(Exit)” to “Yes”. Press the power button once to select “Yes”.
Repeat the steps. Once again move down from No (Exit) to Yes and tap the power key to reset the phone.
The Factory data reset will take a few minutes.
